Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Information for authors

Editorial policy at Hemisferio requires that all submissions for publication be original and unpublished texts, and each author is responsible for not incurring any liability associated with falsifying or copying data that may compromise the authenticity of the research. The submissions for publication must also comply with the following editorial standards:

  1. The title of the article must be submitted in upper and lowercase text (without the full text in uppercase) and the executive summary should be less than 150 words.
  2. Include up to 5 key words after the summary.
  3. Use 8.5″ x 11″ size paper.
  4. Use “Times New Roman” 12-point font, with 1.5 spacing.
  5. Notes (citations) use simple spacing, “Times New Roman” 10- point font. (Only the first line of each citation should be indented 0.25”).
  6. Both the bibliography and the citations should follow the Chicago Style of references (see the enclosed Chicago Style Guide). In Chicago style, citations for AI-generated content should be included as footnotes or in-text parenthetical citations, not in the final bibliography. To cite correctly, include the AI's name, date of use, and if the prompt is not mentioned in the text, the question asked should also be included. The basic format for a footnote is: "Text generated by [AI name], [date], [company], [optional URL]". For parenthetical citations, use the format ([AI name], [date]). It is important to note that AI citations are treated as personal communications and only need to be mentioned in the text or footnotes.
  7. The articles submitted can be in English, Spanish, Portuguese, or French.
  8. Articles should be between 5,000 and 8,000 words long.
  9. In our editorial policy for receiving and publishing academic articles using Artificial Intelligence (AI), we establish that authors must explicitly disclose the use of AI and AI-assisted technologies in their manuscripts, including a specific declaration in the published work. Generative AI and assisted technologies should only be used to improve the readability and language of the work, always under human supervision and control. Authors maintain full responsibility for the content and must carefully review the results to avoid inaccuracies or biases generated by AI. It is crucial to emphasize that AI and its associated technologies cannot be listed as authors or co-authors, as authorship is exclusively a human responsibility.

Authors must complete the letter of authorization and accept the rules of publication, as well as the code of ethics.
